Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 5, 2026

The short version: Apples to Androids collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no Apples to Androids servers. Your data moves directly between your own devices, encrypted end-to-end, over your own Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth connection, or USB cable.

How syncing works

Everything the app syncs — clipboard contents, files, notifications, now-playing metadata, handed-off links, screen-mirroring video — travels point-to-point between your Mac and your Android device. It is encrypted end-to-end with AES-256-GCM using keys derived on your devices from a passphrase only you know. There is no relay, no cloud queue, and no third party in the path. If your devices are on a network with no internet access, the app works exactly the same.

What we can see

Nothing. We operate no servers, so no content, metadata, usage statistics, or crash reports ever reach us. The apps contain no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.

What stays on your devices

Permissions, and why they’re asked for

Each permission is used solely for the feature it names, only while you use that feature:

Purchases

If you buy the app through the Mac App Store or Google Play, the purchase, payment details, and receipt are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). We receive no personal information about you.

Children

Apples to Androids does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s privacy behavior ever changes, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
